ABOUT SIPHEPHELO MYENI


Siphephelo Myeni is a passionate IT Lecturer at Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology, a self-taught software developer, and emerging Information Systems researcher currently pursuing a Master of Commerce in Information Systems & Technology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He holds a BCom Honours in IS&T and a BSc in Computer Science & Information Technology, forming a strong academic foundation that underpins his work in technology, systems thinking, autonomous systems, and digital innovation.

Siphephelo is known for his dedication to excellence, his ability to simplify complex technical concepts, and his commitment to empowering students, teams, and communities through technology. With a growing interest in autonomous systems, robotics, and their impact on modern software ecosystems and organisational environments, he aims to drive meaningful digital transformation across both educational and industrial contexts in Africa.

As a self-taught full-stack developer with expertise spanning Java, Python, C#, .NET Core, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, cloud platforms (AWS & Azure), and autonomous systems and robotics - including embedded systems, control logic, and sensor integration – Siphephelo bridges the gap between software engineering and the physical world. His postgraduate research explores how African organisations can adopt autonomous systems and emerging technologies to leapfrog legacy infrastructure challenges and compete on a global stage.
